Frequently asked questions
What does a Dog Chaperone actually do?
A wedding dog chaperone takes care of everything your dog needs on your big day, so you don’t have to worry. From planning how your dog will be involved to keeping them calm, happy, fed, walked, and photo-ready, a chaperone is by their side throughout the day. They handle entrances, photos, outfit adjustments, and quiet breaks when needed. Then safely take your dog home or to overnight care, giving you peace of mind while your furry best friend shares in your celebration.
What areas do you cover?
I am based in County Durham however, I am willing to travel to your desired venue so please get in touch and we can discuss options.
Can you help with photographs on the day?
Yes absolutely! I will be there to support you getting the pawfect shots that you want your photographer to capture – I can assist with whatever you need, and I will also take plenty of photographs and content throughout the day myself. These won’t be professional, but I will capture as much of the day behind the scenes for you so you can see what your pup got up to on their adventure.
Are you insured & dog first aid trained?
Yes, I have full Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and can provide a copy of this at the time of booking. I have completed a Dog First Aid and CPR with Dog Training course which is CPD Certified. I can share further information on this if you wish to review it.
Do we need to provide your with anything specific on the day for our dog?
You will be required to provide a lead/collar/Halti/harness/wedding attire/dog food/bowls for your dog on the day however I do appreciate how much there is to remember so I will bring my own leads, poo bags and treats for your bestie just in case. Please provide clear instructions on feeding your dog if I am required to do this at any point during the day.
My dog is anxious or has behaviour issues, will this be okay with you?
Every pet is different and knowing you bestie is in caring hands is the most important thing, ensuring you can both enjoy your special day. I am more than happy to discuss your pets needs and requirements throughout the day – keeping to a steady routine that they are used to. I will work closely with you to ensure you pets needs are met.
What information do you require about our dog?
On your initial booking, I will require you to complete a booking form with requested information and then I will be in touch to organise a consultation 6-8 weeks prior to your date. This appointment can be in person, over the phone or video call. This will be to discuss your final requirements from me as your Dog Chaperone and learn about your furry friends needs, likes, dislikes and how you want them to be included in your day.
Can we meet you before the day with our dog?
Yes, absolutely! I am more than happy to meet with you all prior to confirmation, or at any point within the lead up to your special day. I appreciate this will give you peace of mind that your pup is in calm hands.
What is your booking & cancellation policy?
No booking is confirmed until your deposit payment and contract is received which is 30% of the total cost. The deposit is non-refundable and final payment will be due 6 weeks prior to your date. If you required to cancel your booking with Aisle to Adventure, the deposit payment is non-refundable. If cancellation is prior to 6 weeks before the date, no further payment will be required however, anything cancelled within 6 weeks of your date, the contracted balance is due and non-refundable.
Do we need to provide you with a meal during the day?
Although it is greatly appreciated to be offered a meal at your venue, I will supply my own lunch and snacks so there is no need for you to organise any meals for me.
